Although convenient, “flushable” or "disposable" wipes should not actually be flushed. Wipes do not fully disperse and disintegrate in water like toilet paper. Instead, they cause costly clogs and repairs throughout the wastewater treatment process. Wipes may flush away in your toilet easily, but remember this is only the first part of their journey through the city’s sewer system. Through many kilometres of city pipes, valves, and pumps, wipes easily build up and create blockages for City staff to locate and resolve.
So, when it comes to flushing, keep it to just toilet paper. Everything else should be disposed of in your garbage.
