The City of Steinbach issues quarterly utility statements. Residents will receive a statement at the beginning of February, May, August, and November. Utility bills are due by the last business day of the month they are received. Overdue accounts may be transferred to the property tax account.
Payment Options Account Information Rates
Go Paperless - Receive Your Bill by Email! Citizens now have the option to receive their quarterly statement by email. The City will email you a copy of your water bill, along with our regular newsletter, every quarter instead of mailing a paper copy. It’s easy to sign up for this convenient, environmentally friendly method of billing by completing our online application form. Forms are also available at City Hall for sign-up.

View Your Bill Online! The City of Steinbach is pleased to offer its citizens the convenience of viewing their utility account online. Our secure website allows you to view details of your utility account billings, payments, and water consumption. Note: You will need your Utility PIN and Account Number which can be found on your utility invoice.

By Mail
Mail (cheque or money order) together with the top portion of your utilities invoice. Please ensure payments are received in our office on or before the due date to avoid penalties. Make cheque payable to: City of Steinbach. Cheques may be post dated to the due date.
In Person
Bring your utilities invoice and payment to the main floor of City Hall, 225 Reimer Avenue, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
24 Hour Drop-off
Drop an envelope containing payment (cheque or money order) and top portion of your utilities invoice in the mail slot at the main entrance to City Hall. Cash is left at your own risk.
Web Banking
The City of Steinbach is registered as an electronic banking payee with Steinbach Credit Union, Royal Bank, CIBC, TD Canada Trust, Scotia Bank and BMO. If you subscribe to this service, simply log on to your bank's website, add City of Steinbach as a payee and complete your payment. Please allow 3-5 business days for your payment to be received from your financial institution.
Pre-Authorized Payments
The Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PAP) is a payment plan that allows the City of Steinbach to withdraw an amount equal to the balance due on your quarterly utilities invoice. Customers using PAP will still receive a utilities invoice. Complete an application for the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan and submit it with a sample cheque marked VOID.
Changes to Bank Information
Please notify the City Office of any changes to your bank information by providing a VOID cheque for the new bank account at least two weeks prior to the next payment date.
Moving
Please contact the City when you are moving out of a residence in order to cancel your account and to provide your forwarding contact information.

An application for a water/sewer account must be made at City Hall or by contacting the Utility Clerk by phone, email, fax, or in-person.
