Starting tomorrow, Saturday, May 6, residents can bring their yard and garden waste to one of three Community Compost Depots open every Saturday, 9-3, until October 14, 2023.
The depots are located at:
Woodlawn School (411 Henry St.),
Stonybrook Middle School (77 Lumber Ave.)
NEW in 2023 – Smith Neufeld Jodoin Law Office Lot (85 Provincial Trunk Hwy 12)
What to compost: Vegetables & fruit (fresh, cooked, canned), Coffee grounds / Filters, Tea leaves / bags, Egg shells, Bread, Plain rice / Plain pasta, Garden waste, Weeds without seeds, Grass clippings, Leaves
Do not compost: Meat / Fish / Bones, Eggs / Dairy Products, Oily foods / Sauces, Pet waste, Diseased plants, Metals, Synthetic materials, Plastic / Petroleum products
