On Monday, September 30, the City of Steinbach is recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a day of observance regarding the impacts of residential schools.
Please note the following regarding City services for this upcoming weekend:
- On Saturday, September 28, the Steinbach Landfill, T.G. Smith Arena and Aquatic Centre will be open as regularly scheduled.
- On Monday, September 30, all City administration buildings and most services will be closed, except the T.G. Smith Arena (as scheduled) and the Aquatic Centre’s public swims from 1-3pm and 4-6pm.
- All City departments will resume regular business hours starting Tuesday, October 1*; garbage and recycling collection will resume on Tuesday with Day 2.

*Starting October 1, the landfill will be open according to their winter hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm and Saturday, 9am-4pm. View landfill information.
