In the event of a City disaster, an Emergency Reception Centre must be set up to provide a temporary, safe location for people who have been displaced from their homes to re-establish themselves as quickly as possible.
Volunteers are needed to support various functions and services offered in a Reception Centre including: Meet & Greet, Registration Services, Pet Services, Hospitality, Security, Lodging, Food and Transportation, and more.
If you are interested in being a volunteer at an Emergency Reception Centre (should the need arise), please join us for the volunteer training session on March 10 at the Steinbach Fire Hall starting at 6:00pm.
