The City's landfill is located south of Steinbach at 104 Hanover Road E.

Please Note: the Landfill is closed on Sundays and all holidays.
The City of Steinbach Landfill also offers a year round hazardous waste depot open during regular Landfill hours.
Please note that these are basic fee rates. They will vary according to the customer's situation (i.e. location, type of waste). These fees include the $10 waste reduction levy.

Steinbach’s Landfill is subject to a Waste Reduction and Recycling Support (WRARS) levy implemented by the Province of Manitoba. The legislation states that every municipality in the province will be required to collect $10 per metric tonne of waste disposed at that municipality’s landfill. Please note, this amount is included in the landfill tipping fees. All vehicles that are not scaled when dropping off waste at the Steinbach Landfill will be subject to a minimum fee of $10, both residents and non-residents alike. Vehicles dropping off recyclable or compostable materials at the landfill will not be required to pay the $10 fee, and will be directed as to where to dispose of recyclable or compost materials.
All bulky loads must be tarped and larger items secured with adequate tie-down straps or rope. Failure to properly secure loads entering or exiting the Steinbach Landfill will result in a $10 surcharge over and above regular fees.
